NFL Spokesman Greg Ailleo told the Palm Beach Post that Dolphin’s receiver Brandon Marshall will not face any kind of suspension. According to Ailleo, no charges were filed in the case meaning that the NFL has no grounds to discipline Marshall.
The concern of suspension stems from a domestic dispute between Marshall and his wife back in April. According to police reports, Marshall was stabbed in the stomach by his wife during a fight at their home. Marshall initially lied to police and commissioner Roger Goodell said that the league would monitor the situation. Now that the charges have been dropped, Marshall can focus on improving his TD numbers.
Last season, Marshall posted another 1,000 yards receiving, but only caught 3 TD’s. Despite the fact that half of Miami hates Chad Henne, he should still be the starter on opening day. The more Henne and Marshall play together, the better the tandem should be. Marshall is still a play-maker and should put up at least 100 receptions. With no suspension coming, his fantasy value is on the rise.
