According to the Baltimore Sun, the Ravens are “seriously considering” using their 29th overall pick on former-LSU WR Rueben Randle.
That same report has the Ravens keying in on either Randle or former-Goergia Tech WR Stephen Hill. I see Randle as a much a better fit for the Ravens between the two, but this year’s WR class is deep. I don’t see the Ravens using a first round pick when they could get close to equal talent/value in the 2nd round.
The Ravens drafted Torrey Smith in the 2nd round of last years draft, showing flash’s of greatness, and have an aging Anquan Boldin under contract, but after that it gets thin quick. Last season’s Lee Evans experiment clearly didn’t work (as seen in the AFC Championship game). He signed a 1-yr. deal earlier this week with the Jaguars.
I see the Ravens using either their 2nd or 3rd round picks on a WR. In the Commish’s latest Mock Draft, he has the Ravens selecting DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw in the 1rst round, and CB/S Trumaine Johnson in the 2nd round.
Don’t forget to join the Commish for his HUGE NFL Draft party on Thursday night April 26th. CLICK HERE to get all the details for The Commish’s Bud Light Draft Party at Pete and Shorty’s in Pinellas Park and presented by joebucsfan.com.
